Re: question about trademarked and registered names

So am I supposed to write the following when I discuss, say, the Pink
Knock Out?
Pink Knock Out® Rose Rosa ‘Radcon’

I think my readers would gag and think me horribly pretentious. I'd

I do know that last year, however, when I was listing the AARS winners
in Chicagoland Gardening, I wanted to shorten a lengthy, unwieldy name
(forget which one) and the lawyer for the company put his/her foot down.
