One of our local nurseries uses interns from landscape architecture and botany programs at area
universities. They don't know everything - but they are interested and learn fast as it will all
help them with their careers. Sometimes interns will even do the work as unpaid help - my husband
runs an internship program for the department we teach in and finds this is often the case.
Sometimes the business pays for the college credits earned - and sometimes they even give the
kids some sort of pay as well. It seems to work pretty well.
