The yard is almost exactly oriented east to west, so um...it would shade
out everything along the back fence. I'd have to plant things that wouldnt
mind getting shaded out (shade loving hardy palms perhaps? :)). So one
planted towards the back wouldnt shade out the house (I think).

Kind of like they are gathering up momentum to send their shoots skyward?
I cant wait to see in twenty years how big the trees planted at that
Shopping center will be. I suspect they'll all be cut down though.
